Wa East: NDC Parliamentary candidate files nomination to contest 2020 elections

The Wa East Parliamentary Candidate for the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has successfully filed his nomination form to contest the 2020 parliamentary elections.

The process as outlined by the Electoral Commission(EC) and supervised at the district level at Funsi the Wa East District capital started on October 5, 2020 and will end on the October 9, 2020 per electoral commission’s regulations for the 2020 general elections.

At the time of filing and submitting the form at the office of the EC, the NDC Wa East parliamentary candidate Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw was the first to successfully file and submit to contest the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

In his message to the constituents after successfully filing his nomination, Dr Jasaw said the successful process is a sign of a successful election that will end in his favour. The Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC said his tour of the Wa East constituency showed the victory of the NDC is eminent.

While addressing journalists in Funsi on Monday October 5, 2020, Dr Jasaw conveyed a message of hope and encouragement to his constituents that the Wa East constituency. He said the constituents deserved better and that if they voted him into power, his vision is to champion local government activities. Dr Jasaw said rather than dividing the constituency into two separate ones, he is going to chart a course that will see to the development of the whole area.

The NDC on the other hand has taken steps to pay for the nomination and filing cost in bulk for all its parliamentary candidates across the country.

Dr. Seidu Jasaw will be contesting  Salifu Yakubu who is also standing on the ticket of the NPP in the Wa East Constituency.
